At the moment, our
club has 36 members of both genders.
Rotselaar 
is a municipality in the proximity of Leuven
(engl. Louvain), capital of the province of Flemish Brabant. Our
members do not only come from Rotselaar, but also from surrounding towns.
The RC Rotselaar
is part of district 2170 .
Our district covers a strip, stetching perpendicularly from the north of
Belgium i.e. from Antwerp across the centre with Leuven and Brussels to
end at the Frenchspeaking boundary with Dinant and Namur.
Our godfather clubs
are RC Keerbergen Demer-Dijle
and RC Leuven .
We are pleased that we in turn, are also already a godfather club.
Since last year there is a chartered Rotaract club
in Leuven of which we are the godfather club, together with RC Leuven.
From the outset,
international relations was a substantial part of our club
life. We have a contact club in the Netherlands (RC Nieuwkoop )
, Germany (RC Leipzig ),
England (RC High-Suffolk )
and France (RC Le Vésinet )
and we maintain friendly contacts with the clubs Zagreb-Gradec
(Croatia), Heilbronn
(Germany) and Leeuwarden
(the Netherlands).

Despite our youth,
we can look back on a wide range of social activities. The oldest
project is « Den Ateljee
» where we support an association which creates work for mentally
and physically disables adults. Another project, which we support regularly
with donations , is the contruction of a stemcell-bank .
Stemcells are being used for the treatment of child-leukemia.

Internationally we
are also active. For the refugee-support work by a Caritas-station
in Zagreb (Croatia), we organised jointly with RC Leipzig, Leipzig Bruhl,
Zagreb Gradec and the districts 2170, 1880, 1910 a Matching Grant .
With this 35.000$ grant, food is being purchased. We are currently
in the process of organising another Matching Grant for a project in Belarus.
This involves the purchase of X-ray equipment for a hospital in Belarus .
A third Matching
Grant still in the planning stage, will be used for purchasing equipment,
books, clothing etc. for an orphanage in Russia .

Because young people
are our future, we are also engaging in youth-work such as drug prevention ,
career planning activities, etc.
However beyond and
above all these social commitments, the Friendship amongst our club members
must prevail. To symbolise this, we raise our glass
« to the Friendship » at the beginning of each meeting.
